Wedding Inspo: Autumn Colors

One of the greatest things to experience is autumn in Utah. The colorful trees and incredible scenery set the perfect palette for a fall wedding. While I am obsessed with the red and orange shades fall has to offer, I recently became inspired on a hike I took not too long ago, where I was completely surrounded by a stark contrast of goldenrod yellows from aspen trees, dark forest greens from the pines, and a crisp white from the snow that covered the ground. Too beautiful for words!

I love the idea of still using Utah’s fall as inspiration, but taking a different approach to it, using the more moody tones.

So, with that being said, here are some ideas/ways you can create a memorable fall themed wedding!

Bridal Wear

With fall in Utah as an inspiration, I love the idea of going more rustic chic when it comes to the dress. Of course, it comes down to personal preference, but opting for something flowy and lacy – like our gowns Analia, Genevieve, and Simone – would add the perfect vibe to your nature-inspired theme.

Groomswear

Continuing the rustic theme for groomswear, pair a patterned button-down shirt with a tweed jacket coat and bowtie. Keep the color palette for your groom neutral, with a pop of color accented in his shirt and bowtie. The simplicity of this look won’t overshadow your dress; it will instead compliment it.

Bridal Beauty

Add some drama with a red lip inspired by other fall shades, paired with an understated eye to highlight your daring lip shade. Opt for a low braided bun with bridal pins for a gorgeous accent.

Wedding Colors

Incorporate warm yellows and dark greens and browns into your color palette. Use neutral tones – like cream/ivory, tan, and white – as accent colors. Metallics such as bronze and gold would add a nice touch of sparkle and glam without throwing off the outdoorsy vibes.

Floral

Using this bouquet as base, add aspen leaves and pine branches to really bring a hint of the mountains into your flowers.

Decor

If you are unable to have the mountains as your backdrop, simply bring the mountains into your decor! Create a warm and cozy atmosphere with candles, lights, and maybe a couple blankets! Keep the rustic feel alive with wood pieces and fall foliage.

Food

Opt for cozy comfort foods, like hearty venison sliders and a delicious french fry bar. Keep your guests warm with a variety of coffees and teas at a hot beverage station. End the night with apple cider doughnuts and other baked goodies as wedding favors.

Cake

Go with a tri-layered naked cake that offers different and delicious flavors, like chocolate chip cookie dough, lemon, and dark chocolate.

Hopefully this post will help you gain inspiration for a beautiful seasonal wedding. Happy planning!
