All About Our Veils

Why do we make veils and not just leave it to the accessory designers?
The short answer is that we enjoy it. We often design matching or coordinating veils and gowns or simply a veil that is different. We believe it is important to play around with texture, fabrics, and detail when it comes to veils. We don’t just want to stick with the standard options.
We want to be able to offer our brides the whole package ready to go and to us that includes accessories like belts and veils.
At Rachel Elizabeth we make 6 different veil lengths. Fingertip at 28-36” long, from the comb to the hem of the veil, Calf at 42”-58”, Puddle at 68”-82”, Chapel at 100”-108”, Cathedral at 108”-150” and Royal at over 150”.
All the veils we make are attached to a silver colored metal veil comb, unless otherwise requested. We have made veils attached to clips when requested and plastic combs, but we prefer the metal comb for its’ ease of use, durability, and simplicity.
Custom veils are available upon request too, so if you want one that is a different length to what we already have, or if you want something to match one of our gowns, we can do that. But for now let’s go through some of our favorite veils.
April
Our April veil is made from tulle with an embroidered lace trim stitched all the way around the edge of the veil. It is a stunning veil and adds an air of regal elegance to your bridal look. It comes in all the lengths too, but only one color, pale ivory. Since we can make custom veils, if you wanted something like in it white or ivory, we could show you options of lace trims that come in those colors.
Braelyn
Braelyn is one of our most popular veils and is made from a soft silky chiffon. It has no adornment, and comes in all lengths except Royal, and comes in white, pale ivory and ivory.
Brennan
Our Brennan veil is another of our lace edge veils. It is made from tulle and an embroidered lace edge. It comes in all lengths and white, pale ivory and ivory.
Celine
Our Celine veil is one of our 3D veils. It boasts satin and organza flowers on a lightweight tulle. The blush option has a blush tulle base with blush laser cut flowers. For the bride who wants more of a romantic look, this veil would be perfect. It comes in only two lengths, fingertip and calf and in two colors, pale ivory and blush.
Jane
The Jane Veil is made from soft tulle, with no adornment, just a beautiful soft simple veil. It comes in white, ivory and pale ivory. It also comes in all six lengths.
Lena
Our Lena veil is made from our lovely soft tulle, edged with a narrow 1/4” wide trim of pearl beads and sequins. This narrow trim adds a little something to your veil, but does not overwhelm. It comes in all lengths and in white, ivory and pale ivory.
Scarlett
Another of our most popular veils, our Scarlett veil is made from Swiss dot tulle. This tulle is lightweight and has small dots woven into it, making a nice change from a simple tulle veil. It comes in all the lengths but only in pale ivory. The Swiss dots measure a ¼” in width. This coming season we are adding a new variation to this veil with the option to have a smaller Swiss dot, this one measures at ⅛”.
Sharon
The Sharon veil is made in a medium weight tulle and has a beautiful floral lace near the comb. This lace is made up of large flowers with pearl beads. This veil only comes in pale ivory but comes in all lengths.
Tiana
Sequins, pearls and 3D flowers, make the Tiana veil a stunning alternative to the more simple veil. This veil comes in two lengths, fingertip and calf and comes in pale ivory or blush. This veil matches our Naomi gown.
