Wedding Theme: Vintage Elegance

Bridal Wear

This is Odette from the So Close 2020 collection. I chose this dress for the blog because of its understated elegance and the exquisite beaded lace detailing on the bodice.

Grooms Wear

For the groom, I chose a classic brown tweed suit paired with a bow tie. It's a timeless look that offers both comfort and ease of movement—perfect for a relaxed yet refined celebration.

Hair

For makeup I went with very simple eyeshadow and a bold lip color, which would have been typical everyday makeup look from 1930-1950.

For hair I chose to have a classic look, with the hair curled and nicely framed around the face.

Wedding Colors

I chose this color palette to evoke a vintage feel. The deep red adds a touch of elegance, while the brown ties in with the suit and serves as a warm neutral. Ivory and black round out the look with classic, timeless tones.

Bridal Bouquet

I chose this bouquet for its beautiful coordination with the beaded lace flowers on the back bodice of the dress. The colors and size were also key—incorporating the deep red and ivory from the chosen palette to create a cohesive, elegant look.

Decor

For the decor, I kept things simple, focusing on small details to make key elements stand out. The gold accents in the record player and place settings add a touch of metallic elegance that complements the deep red beautifully.

Cake

I wanted the cake to be simple yet striking, with just a few dark red flowers to create contrast. It's understated, but still has a bold presence and fits perfectly with the overall theme.

Food & Drinks

For the food and drinks, I aimed for simplicity as well. The classic glass Coke bottles are casually arranged in a bucket of ice, allowing guests to grab one as they please. A generous selection of cookies is presented in a charming wooden bin, and individual pound cakes, filled with cream and jelly, add a sweet touch. The drink tower, reminiscent of a bygone era, offers a nostalgic feel and can be served before, during, or after dinner.
